At the present, there are 40 members on the e-mailing list and between seven to ten that show up regularly. We are an open group and like people. So long as you are old enough to hold hooks/needles and not get injured doing so, feel free to swing by.
The group is free. For the most part, I figure that materials (bring your own or there are occasionally yarn swaps) and gas cost more than enough and I don't want to deal with whatever tax items would be necessary to charge people for the privilege of doing what they love anyway, so I don't.
Dress is whatever you would feel comfortable in within a bookstore. I've come in sweats and T-shirts or even Sunday clothes depending upon what else I was doing before/after. Frequently, members (what we call anyone who comes more than once or is on the e-mail list) come in jeans, skirts, or dress slacks. Feel free to be comfy.
If you need or want food, that's why we're in the cafe, in part. Good lighting, decently-comfortable chairs for the two hours or so that we're there each week, move-able furniture to scale up to however many chairs we need, open till 10PM, and free. If there were a better location, we would consider it, but this suits the needs of the group for the present.
Anyone who joins the mailing list is welcome to become an author of this blog if they want, and all are welcome to "Follow" it on any service that they wish. If you want us to follow your blog, let us know and we'll choose. Open invitation for all members to list their blogs here if they wish.
